Entrepreneur Biography:
Claudine Mohbat is married and has 3 children. She was born in Lebanon in 1971. She spent her childhood in Switzerland. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Germanic Languages from Université La Sorbonne in Paris.

Eager to move back to Lebanon, she was approached to manage the German Cultural Center of Beirut.

Her interest in designing kids’ clothes emerged with her own children as she struggled to find them nice clothes for special events. She started designing few dresses and hired a needlewoman to help her “handmade” them. Her kids loved wearing those designs and feedbacks from family and friends were encouraging. Orders started flowing in and Claudine thought of developing the idea.

Her first exhibition took place in 2005 with a Ready to Wear collection until she decided to take a step forward by having her dresses tailor-made just like for adults.

Today, Claudine produces handmade dresses and tuxedos with garments and accessories at a sustained pace. Requests come from all over the region and many Lebanese expats use her services abroad with many potential collaborations now in the pipeline.
